From the moment Janna told me that she and Ryan were getting married at centre ice at the Moncton Coliseum, I knew it was something that I wanted to be a part of. I mean, really, what could be cooler than that? The excitement kept growing in the months leading up the wedding and then a funny little thing happened – Janna and Ryan’s upcoming wedding was making the news. There was tons of buzz around these two, the first couple ever to get married at centre ice at the coliseum. Wait a second – what? I didn’t know we would be shooting the first wedding to happen there EVER! The pressure was on and I was full of a crazy mix of excitement and, I’ll admit it, nervousness. Luckily for me it turned out that I had no reason to be nervous at all. Janna and Ryan, along with their amazing and crazy fun bridal party, kept us laughing and having fun all day long. Everything went off without a hitch and was so much more than I ever could have imagined. The details that Janna and Ryan built into their day were pretty impressive. Everything was hockey themed, from the bride’s garter and the groomsmen’s socks to the cake, the decor, the entrance, and the favours. There were even custom hockey jerseys for everyone in the bridal party. It was all perfectly personal and so very them. It was the very best way for the two of them to start their new life together.
Janna and Ryan – Thank you so much for inviting us to tag along with you on your big day. It was so much fun and one of the most unique wedding experiences I’m sure we’ll ever have. I hope you enjoy this little highlight reel of your day.
